Short Annapurna Basecamp Trek(7 days)
Overview
The 5-day Annapurna Base Camp trek begins with a morning drive from Pokhara to Nayapul, followed by a few hours of hiking to Chhommrong, a village nestled in the foothills.
On day two, we trek for 6-7 hours through lush forests and rivers to reach Himalaya Hotel, where we’ll relax after a rewarding day of ascent.
Day three is the highlight, as we make our way to Annapurna Base Camp via Machhapuchhre Base Camp, where we’re greeted with breathtaking views of Annapurna I, Machhapuchhre, and Hiunchuli.
On day four, we descend through scenic landscapes to Sinuwa.
Finally, on day five, we continue our descent to Jhinudanda’s hot springs, then head back to Pokhara, reflecting on an unforgettable journey. Itineraries
Day 1: arrive in Kathmandu our pure Sherpa adventure’s representative will welcome you at Kathmandu airport and transfer to your hotel, evening ourguide will explain you about the trip
Day 2: Drive from Pokhara to Nayapul, Trek to Tikhedhunga or Ulleri
• Drive Duration: 1.5-2 hours from Pokhara to Nayapul.
• Trek Duration: 4-5 hours.
• After an early morning drive from Pokhara, you’ll arrive at Nayapul. From here, you’ll start your trek and make your way to Tikhedhunga or Ulleri, passing through beautiful villages and lush forests. You’ll get the first glimpses of the Annapurna range as you ascend.
Day 3: Trek from Ulleri/Tikhedhunga to Ghorepani
• Trek Duration: 6-7 hours.
• On day two, you’ll hike uphill through a dense rhododendron forest, reaching Ghorepani. This village offers stunning views of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges. You’ll spend the night here, enjoying the cool mountain air and peaceful surroundings.
Day 4: Trek from Ghorepani to Poon Hill, then to Tadapani
• Trek Duration: 6-7 hours.
• Early in the morning, hike up to Poon Hill(3,210m) to catch a spectacular sunrise over the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri mountains. Afterward, descend to Ghorepani and continue trekking through forests to reach Tadapani, a scenic village with panoramic views.
Day 5: Trek from Tadapani to Sinuwa
• Trek Duration: 5-6 hours.
• From Tadapani, descend through forests and cross streams as you head toward Sinuwa. Along the way, you’ll pass through lush rhododendron forests and have more opportunities to enjoy the Himalayan landscapes.
Day 6: Trek from Sinuwa to Annapurna Base Camp (ABC) and Return to Bamboo
• Trek Duration: 7-8 hours.
• On the final day, start early for the ascent to Annapurna Base Camp. The trek offers some of the most stunning views of the Annapurna Massif, including Annapurna I, Annapurna South, and Machhapuchhre. After enjoying the views at ABC, begin your descent toward Bamboo for an overnight stay.
Day 7 (Optional): Trek from Bamboo to Nayapul, Drive Back to Pokhara
• Trek Duration: 6-7 hours.
• On the last day of the trek, you’ll descend to Nayapul. From there, you’ll take a drive back to Pokhara, where you can relax and reflect on your incredible journey to Annapurna Base Camp.
This 5-day itinerary is a shorter version of the full Annapurna Base Camp trek but still allows you to experience the beauty of the region and the breathtaking views of the Annapurna range.
