Pokalde Peak Climbing offers a thrilling adventure for those seeking a challenging climb in the heart of Nepal’s Himalayas. Ideal for experienced trekkers, this journey blends adventure, culture, and breathtaking landscapes.
The trip begins with a scenic flight to Lukla, followed by a trek through charming Sherpa villages, lush rhododendron forests, and rivers leading to Namche Bazaar, the vibrant gateway to the Everest region. Along the way, you’ll explore the iconic Tengboche Monastery and experience the unique Sherpa culture. The trail ascends to Kala Patthar for stunning panoramic views of Mt. Everest (8,848m), Lhotse (8,516m), Ama Dablam (6,812m), and surrounding peaks.
From Pokalde Base Camp, you’ll tackle a demanding climb to the summit of Pokalde Peak (5,806m), situated near Kongma La Pass. The climb involves some technical sections with basic mountaineering gear and rewards you with unparalleled views of Everest, Nuptse, and the entire Khumbu region.
After celebrating your summit success, you’ll descend back to Namche Bazaar and return to Kathmandu with unforgettable memories. The best seasons for this climb are spring (March-May) and autumn (September-November). Physical fitness and prior trekking experience are essential for this adventurous climb.

Detailed itinerary:-
Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu (1,338m)
Welcome to Kathmandu! Pure Sherpa adventure’s team will meet you at Tribhuvan International Airport and transfer you to hotel. Evening we will explain you about the climbing trip.
Day 2: Sightseeing in Kathmandu
Discover Kathmandu’s UNESCO World Heritage Sites—Pashupatinath (a sacred Hindu site), Boudhanath, and Swayambhunath (Buddhist landmarks). After a day of cultural exploration, return to your hotel.
Day 3: Fly to Lukla (2,840m) & Trek to Phakding (2,610m)
Enjoy a 40-minute scenic flight to Lukla, followed by a 3-hour trek along the Dudh Koshi River to Phakding. Overnight at a lodge.
Day 4: Trek to Namche Bazaar (3,440m)
Today’s 6-hour trek includes river crossings, pine forests, and views of Mt. Thamserku (6,608m). Arrive at Namche Bazaar, a bustling mountain hub.
Day 5: Acclimatization Day – Hike to Everest View Hotel
Spend the day exploring Namche and hiking to Everest View Hotel for incredible panoramas of Everest, Lhotse, Ama Dablam, and more.
Day 6: Trek to Tengboche (3,860m)
Trek through Sherpa villages and dense forests to reach Tengboche, home to the historic Tengboche Monastery.
Day 7: Trek to Pheriche (4,240m)
Pass through Pangboche and visit its ancient monastery before continuing to Pheriche.
Day 8: Trek to Lobuche (4,910m)
Ascend along rocky glacier moraines with stunning mountain views to reach Lobuche.
Day 9: Trek to Gorakshep (5,140m) & Everest Base Camp (5,365m)
Trek to Gorakshep, take a break, then continue to Everest Base Camp. Enjoy breathtaking views of Khumbu Icefall and glaciers before returning to Gorakshep.
Day 10: Hike to Kala Patthar (5,550m) & Return to Lobuche
Start early to hike to Kala Patthar for 360° views of Everest and surrounding peaks, then trek back to Lobuche.
Day 11: Trek to Pokalde Base Camp (4,400m) via Kongma La Pass (5,535m)
Cross Kongma La Pass, enjoy stunning alpine scenery, and reach Pokalde Base Camp for overnight camping.
Day 12: Trek to High Camp (5,000m)
Climb up to High Camp with fantastic views of frozen lakes and towering peaks like Nuptse, Lhotse, and Makalu.
Day 13: Summit Pokalde Peak (5,806m) & Return to Chhukung
Reach the summit of Pokalde Peak for jaw-dropping views of Himalayan giants, then descend to Chhukung.
Day 14: Trek to Tengboche (3,860m)
Descend via scenic trails and small Sherpa villages to Tengboche.
Day 15: Trek to Monjo (2,835m)
Pass Namche Bazaar and cross suspension bridges over the Dudh Koshi River to reach Monjo.
Day 16: Trek to Lukla (2,840m)
A final trek along the Dudh Koshi River leads back to Lukla. Celebrate your achievements and relax.
Day 17: Fly to Kathmandu
Enjoy one last scenic flight over the Himalayas back to Kathmandu. The rest of the day is yours to rest or explore.
Day 18: Final Departure
After breakfast, we’ll transfer you to the airport for your flight home. Safe travels!
