The Kanchanjunga Base Camp Trek is a fantastic adventure that takes you deep into the heart of the Kanchanjunga Conservation Area in Nepal. This trek usually spans around 16 days, allowing trekkers to immerse themselves in the stunning natural beauty of the Himalayas and witness the majestic peaks of Kanchenjunga, the world’s third highest mountain.

Our Kanchenjunga base camp trek is absolutely 16 days holiday in the east of Nepal, covering 220 km in an area which is less crowded that includes a wide range of wonderful scenery from lush, tropical jungle through rhododendron, chestnut and oak forests and high onto he glaciated base camp .
Visitor numbers to this trekking are restricted, so to trek in Kanchenjunga you need a local guide and at least 2 trekkers fulfill and gain the necessary permits.
The route to Kanchenjunga Base camp passes through the Arun valley which is considered one of the most charming regions for trekking in Nepal, and even the most highlights in Kanchenjunga Conservation are which covers an area of 2035 square kilometers.
Kanchanjunga lies in the Taplejung region in the northeast of Nepal where is Kanchenjunga’s 5 peaks: Kangbachen (7903m), Kanchenjunga (8586m0, Kanchanjunga central (882m) , Kanchanjunga south ( 8476m) and Kanchanjunga north , etc.

Day 01: Kathmandu –Bhadrapur (45 minutes) & drive to Taplejung (2420m)
- Pick uo at hotel
- Flight for 45 minutes
- 8 hour drive
- Overnight at Hotel
Day 02: Trek from Taplejung to Sinuwa (980m)
- Passing by river sand along some steep ridges.
- Traditional villages and their mud houses, rice field ,etc.
- Passing by Tamur River
- Overnight at Sinuwa
- 5-6 hours trek
Day 03: Sinuwa – Chiruwa (1280m)
- 5-6 hours trek
- Descending toward Thiwakhola then cross wooden bridges
- Overnight at Chiruwa
Day 04: Chiruwa – Sakathum (1575m)
- 5-6 hour trek
- Descending toward Simbuwa Khola
- Overnight at Sakathm
Day 05: Sakathum – Amjilosaha ( 2310 m)
- 4-5 hours trek
- We trek toward northeast alongside the banks of Ghunsa Khola
- Ascend to the Tibetan village of Amjilosa
- Overnight at teahouse
Day 06: Trek from Amjilosa to Gyable (2730m)
- 5-6 hours
- Trial takes you through rhododendron and bamboo forest
- Magnificent views of surrounding landscape.
Day 07: Gyable – Gunsa (3595m)
- 4-5 hours trek
- The last village in the Valley at Gunsa
- Overnight at Gunsa
Day 08:Acclimatization Day
Day 09: Gunsa – khambachen (4050m)
- 5-6 hours trek
- Numerous chortens and Mani walls.
- Several slopes and glacier moraines we reach Kambachen
- Overnight at teahouse
Day 10: Kambachen – Lhonak ( 4780m) 3-4 hours trek
Day 11: Trek to Kanchenjunga Base Camp then back to Lhonak (4780m) 6-7 hours
Day 12: Lhonak to Ghunsa (3595m) 6-7 hours trek
Day 13: Ghunsa to Amjilosa (2498m) 5-6 hours trek
Day 14: Amjilosa to Sakathum then drive to Taplejung (1442m) 6-7 hours
Day 15: Taplejung to Bhadrapur by drive 6-7 hours
Day 16: Bhadrapur to Kathmandu (45 minutes) by flight
