Teri la pass trek (28 days)
Overview
The Teri La Pass Trek is an adventurous journey through the remote regions of eastern Upper Mustang and Damodar Himal, near the Tibetan border. This trek connects the districts of Mustang and Manang, and was first discovered in 2006. Historically, it was used by salt traders to travel between the Lo Kingdom (Upper Mustang) and Nar Phu Valley. Since it lies in a restricted area, trekkers need special permits for both Nar Phu and Upper Mustang, which can be arranged by Himalayan Wander Walkers.
This trek is one of the most challenging in Nepal, requiring a full camping setup and taking you across high passes, isolated valleys, and remote villages. For a week, you’ll experience the untouched beauty of nature, with breathtaking views of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges, as well as Damodar Himal, Tilicho, and Gangapurna. The trek offers a true wilderness adventure, exploring diverse landscapes—from lower Mustang to Manang, crossing hidden valleys like Nar Phu, and high, rugged passes.
The best time to visit is between late April and October.
