Kathmandu Shivapuri National Park and Nagarkot Hiking (3day)

Overview

Just a short drive from Kathmandu, the Shivapuri National Park trek offers a refreshing getaway into nature. Starting from Sundarijal, the trail winds through waterfalls, lush forests, and the charming village of Mulkharka. As you hike deeper into the park, you’ll enjoy mountain views, fresh air, and quiet trails filled with birdsong.

As you ascend into Shivapuri’s dense forests, the sounds of the city fade, replaced by birdsong, rustling leaves, and the occasional splash of a mountain stream. Along the way, hikers are rewarded with breathtaking views of the Langtang Mountain Range, its snowy peaks contrasting beautifully with the green valleys below

After a scenic walk, you’ll reach Chisopani, a peaceful village with stunning sunrise and sunset views over the Himalayas. From there, the route leads to Nagarkot and eventually down to the small village with cultural gem surrounded by traditional Newari and tamang homes.
