Kanchenjunga Base Camp Trek (17 Days)
Overview
Looking for a remote and rewarding Himalayan adventure? The 16-day Kanchenjunga Base Camp Trek takes you deep into Nepal’s far eastern mountains, offering a rare glimpse of the untouched Kanchenjunga Conservation Area. This trail leads you through the beautiful Arun Valley and up to the foot of Kanchenjunga (8,586m) — the world’s third highest peak.
Far less crowded than other popular treks in Nepal, the route winds through lush forests of rhododendron, oak, and chestnut, past peaceful villages, and into dramatic alpine terrain with glaciers, rocky climbs, and snowy passes. Covering roughly 220 km, the trek reveals stunning views of Kanchenjunga’s five majestic peaks.
Because the region is restricted, you’ll need at least two trekkers, special permits, and a licensed local guide. This trek is organized by Pure Sherpa Adventure Team and led by experienced Sherpa guides — born and raised in the Himalayas — who bring unmatched knowledge, cultural depth, and mountain expertise to every step of your journey. For those ready to face the wild beauty and physical challenge, this is truly one of Nepal’s most unforgettable trekking experiences.
