The Gosaikunda Trek is a 5-day journey that blends natural beauty with spiritual significance. Starting in Kathmandu, you’ll drive to Dhunche, the gateway to this scenic trek. From there, you’ll spend the next two days trekking through lush forests, crossing rivers, and hiking up to the breathtaking Gosaikunda Lake at 4,380m. This sacred lake, revered by Hindus and Buddhists alike, attracts thousands of pilgrims each year, making it a place of deep spiritual energy.

Along the way, you’ll be treated to spectacular mountain vistas, including views of Langtang Lirung, Ganesh Himal, and more. After soaking in the beauty and serenity of Gosaikunda, you’ll retrace your steps back to Dhunche and return to Kathmandu.

What Trip Excludes

Exclude:

  • Meals whilst you are in Kathmandu & Pokhara- lunch, and dinner.
  • Nepal entry visa fee (easy to obtain the visa on arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport – Kathmandu). $30 USD for 15-day, $50 USD for 30 Days, and $125 USD for 90 Days visa.
  • Personal travel and medical insurance.
  • International airfare.
  • Your personal expenses.
  • All the alcoholic and nonalcoholic, soup, tea, coffee, hot chocolate, cocoa, mineral water, extra food, cold and hot drinks on trek ( i.e. those you choose to purchase along the way and during evenings in the tea houses)
  • All desserts & sweet things like chocolate, cake, pie, pudding.
  • Hot shower and battery charging at the tea houses.
  • Tips for the guide, porter, and driver (tipping is expected)
  • NOTE: If you return earlier from the trek due to sickness or any problem, the money you paid for the flight, hotel, mountain room, food, etc. is nonrefundable, and you will need to bear the expenses for the hotel, food, etc. in Kathmandu yourself.

Itineraries

Itinerary details:-

 

Day 1: arrive in Kathmandu pure Sherpa adventure’s representative will welcome you at Kathmandu airport and transfer to your hotel, evening oour guide will explain you about the trip.

Day 2: Drive to Dhunche
Travel time: 5-6 hours | Altitude: 2,030m
We’ll kick off early, driving from Kathmandu to Dhunche, a scenic 5-6 hour journey through picturesque villages and along the Trishuli River. Dhunche, the headquarters of Rasuwa District, offers a glimpse of local life. After settling in, we’ll stroll through the village and spend the night in a cozy teahouse.

Day 3: Trek to Chandanwari
Trek time: 6-7 hours | Altitude: 3,200m
after breakfast, we’ll start our trek, passing through beautiful forests, streamlets, and cascading waterfalls. We’ll reach Dhimsa(2,900m), and then continue uphill to Chandanwari (3,200m), also known as Sing Gompa, famous for its Yak cheese and monastery. After indulging in some delicious cheese, we’ll rest for the night.

Day 4: Trek to Gosaikunda
Trek time: 5-6 hours | Altitude: 4,361m
Today’s hike takes us uphill to the sacred Gosaikunda Lake. We’ll pass through Cholangpaty(3,500m) and Lauribinayak (3,900m), with stunning mountain views along the way. As we approach Gosaikunda, we’ll visit Saraswati Kunda, Bhairav Kunda, and the mighty Gosaikunda Lake, spending the night in a teahouse nearby.

Day 5: Trek back to Dhunche
Trek time: 7-8 hours | Altitude: 2,030m
after a peaceful morning in Gosaikunda, we’ll retrace our steps back to Dhunche. The descent is easier and offers beautiful views of the mountains, forests, and wildlife. We may spot birds like the Snow Partridgeand Tibetan Snow Cock along the way.

Day 6: Return to Kathmandu
Travel time: 5-6 hours | Altitude: 1,400m
on the final day, we’ll catch a bus back to Kathmandu, enjoying the scenic journey through lush meadows and rivers. Arriving in Kathmandu after about 6-7 hours, our trek ends, leaving you with unforgettable memories of Gosaikunda’s beauty, the local culture, and the tasty Yak cheese.

Day 7: final departure:

Transfer to Tribhuvan International Airport for your finale       departure and Say goodbye to Nepal with unforgettable memories of your trek.
