Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu

Welcome to Kathmandu, Nepal’s vibrant capital city! Upon arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, Pure Sherpa adventure’s representative will pick up you and transferred to your hotel. Take the day to relax and prepare for your upcoming adventure with a briefing session in the evening.
Day 2: Kathmandu to Lukla, then trek to Chutanga
Begin your adventure with an early morning flight from Kathmandu to Lukla, a small airport in the Khumbu region. From Lukla, we’ll start our trek towards Chutanga. The day will involve a gentle climb through beautiful forests and Sherpa villages, taking in the fresh mountain air as we make our way to our first night’s camp.
Day 3: Trek from Chutanga to Thuli Kharka/Chatra-La (3,900m) via Zwatra-La Pass
Today, we trek through a scenic route, crossing the Zwatra-La Pass, which offers spectacular views of the surrounding peaks. As we continue, we’ll make our way to Thuli Kharka, a peaceful spot at 3,900 meters, where we’ll spend the night.
Day 4: Trek from Thuli Kharka to Kothe
The trail continues as we descend into the beautiful Hinku Valley, eventually reaching the village of Kothe. This charming settlement offers stunning views and a chance to rest after a steady day of trekking.
Day 5: Trek from Kothe to Thaknak
Today’s journey takes us along the Hinku River as we continue our ascent. After a steady climb, we’ll arrive at Thaknak, a small village known for its peaceful atmosphere, situated amidst dramatic mountain scenery.
Day 6: Trek from Thaknak to Khare
We’ll trek through alpine meadows and rocky terrain, gradually gaining altitude as we head towards Khare. This small, high-altitude settlement will be our base for the next few days as we prepare for the climb.
Day 7: Acclimatization Day at Khare
This day is crucial for adjusting to the high altitude. We’ll take short hikes around Khare to help our bodies acclimatize, while also resting and preparing for the summit push. It’s important to allow time for proper rest to ensure a safe ascent.
Day 8: Trek from Khare to High Camp
Today, we’ll leave Khare behind and ascend towards High Camp, situated at a higher altitude. The terrain becomes more rugged as we approach the base camp for the summit. The night will be spent here, where we’ll rest and make final preparations for the climb.
Day 9: Summit Day – High Camp to Mera Peak (6,461m), then return to Khare
The big day! We’ll start early and make our way from High Camp to the summit of Mera Peak. The ascent is non-technical but challenging, offering stunning views as we approach the top. Upon reaching the summit, you’ll be rewarded with a panoramic view of the Himalayas, including Everest, Lhotse, Cho Oyu, Makalu, and Kanchenjunga. After spending time at the summit, we’ll descend back to Khare for the night.
Day 10: Trek from Khare to Kothe
After a successful summit, we’ll begin our descent back through the Hinku Valley to Kothe. The trek back offers a chance to reflect on your achievement as we retrace our steps through the stunning landscapes.
Day 11: Trek from Kothe to Thuli Kharka/Chatra-La
we’ll continue our descent, retracing our route back towards Thuli Kharka, passing through lush forests and scenic valleys along the way. The journey is a chance to unwind after the intense summit push.
Day 12: Trek from Thuli Kharka to Lukla (7-8 hours)
Our final day of trekking involves a long but rewarding journey back to Lukla. The trail is mostly downhill, and we’ll take in the last glimpses of the stunning mountain scenery before reaching Lukla. Here, we’ll rest and celebrate the success of the climb.
Day 13: Fly back to Kathmandu from Lukla
After a well-deserved rest, we’ll take a morning flight back to Kathmandu. Upon arrival, you’ll have time to relax and reflect on the incredible journey you’ve just completed.
This itinerary balances adventure, acclimatization, and rest, ensuring a safe and successful climb of Mera Peak while providing a rich cultural and natural experience throughout the trek.
